Artistic director : angela missoni inspiration: fashion & art, a collection inspired by colourful and textured works of art by the contemporary, swedish and chilean artist, anton alvarez.collection: a masculine style composed of luxurious and soft knitted pieces using cashmere and mohair as well as woollen suits injected with lamé. silhouettes are both flowing and structured, elongated and effortless.a contrast of both delicate and subtle colours (coral, electric blue, camel, ochre, turquoise, burgundy…) we find the undulations inspired the artist’s paintings reinterpreted on soft jumpers.focus on: the double-breasted coat and on the reversible felted wool sailor coat.interview with angela missoni:missoni has always worked with various artists, and this time it’s anton alvarez’s turn, a young swedish and chilean sculptor, who i brought a piece of some 6 or 7 years ago. i continue to follow his work and today he really inspired certain colours and shapes.this is also seen through textures, you can see it in the type of braiding enhancing jumpers in colours and tones such as a pale green, a strong orange or a cobalt blue.this season, i had had enough of seeing so much streetwear, i wanted to see a man who was more accurately dressed, but not in a formal way because missoni will never be formal, but it will have a more precise, more well-dressed silhouette.
