The Middlebury, Connecticut-based watchmaker announced on Wednesday that it has signed a strategic licensing agreement to produce timepieces for the American luxury brand owned by Authentic Brands Group since 2013.
The Italian leather goods brand has switched its watchmaking partner and signed a new licensing agreement with Timex Group, confiding the production and worldwide distribution of its watch collections to the company.
Diversification, licensing and retail expansion, these are the strategic priorities for the Italian fashion label, which is about to enter China and is launching its first watches line in partnership with Timex.
Watch company Timex has named Paul Martin as its new managing director in the UK, overseeing the distribution and marketing of all Timex and Luxury Division brands including Ted Baker, Guess and Versace.
Ted Baker is boosting its licensed business further and has entered a global deal with Timex “to underpin its own global plans with a unique offering in watches that complements its apparel and accessory collections.”
