The house of JW Anderson will move its next men’s show and its pre-fall collections to Milan, to be unveiled during the next fashion week in that city in January, in a major coup for the Italian fashion capital.
On January 11-13, the childrenswear show will be staged at the Fortezza da Basso venue in Florence, together with menswear counterpart Pitti Uomo, featuring some 170 exhibitors, of which 81 coming from outside Italy.
The iconic Antwerp label acquired by Italian businessman Claudio Antonioli in 2020 has been chosen as special guest for the winter edition of Pitti Uomo, which will be held in Florence on January 11-13 2022.
The denim-only tradeshow has announced that, in light of current developments related to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is canceling this season’s New York event, originally scheduled for December 6-7.
In January, the Florentine event organizer is planning to replicate the format it explored in June, hosting its two flagship trade shows, Pitti Uomo and Pitti Bimbo, simultaneously from January 11 to 13, 2022.
The fashion trade fair is making its physical comeback in NYC at the end of July, when it will welcome 67 international and domestic companies to its first in-person event since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
