Published

Fashion house Valentino will shows its menswear collection of in Paris for the first time in its history in January. Last year the show took place in Florence on the stages of Pitti Uomo, which helped the label to really get out its message. Valentino for men is ultra-modern and targets a clientele that favours sport details such as the camouflage print seen in the Spring/Summmer 2013 collection.

The transformation of Valentino menswear to a stand-alone brand started with Aldo Maria Camillo (who now works at Cerruti) and is now in the capable hands of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciolo. The Valentino show is scheduled on the first day of the season, a time usually saved for upcoming brands but now open to established brands looking to rejuvenate their image, such as Lacroix or Mugler.
