Slated to open February 22, the store will be located at the Chinook Centre in Calgary.

Lydia Seifert has been appointed as the Vice President, General Manager of Saks Calgary, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the retail industry. She will manage the launch and day-to-day operations of the 115,000-square-foot, two-level store.

"Calgary is such a welcoming and dynamic city, and I can't wait to see how this new location will enhance the premium shopping experience and fashion Canadians have come to expect from Saks Fifth Avenue," said Seifert, in a news statement.

Saks is also looking to fill approximately 120 full- and part-time positions and has equally opened the doors of its recruitment centre, which is now accepting applications. Positions are available for selling managers and support managers, as well as sales and support staff in all departments.

Saks Fifth Avenue opened its first two Canadian stores in February 2016. The first opened at CF Toronto Eaton Centre, while the second location opened at CF Sherway Gardens. Since entering Canada, Saks has equally opened a number of Saks Off 5th stores with plans to open up to 25 locations across Canada by 2018.

Saks also plans to open a full-line store in Montreal in fall 2018.
