Saint Laurent to open Paris Fashion Week
Saint Laurent is very busy for the presentation of the very first collection signed by Anthony Vaccarello, the talented Belgian designer who last April took over from Hedi Slimane as Creative Director of the luxury fashion label owned by the Kering group.

Saint Laurent chose to skip the men's fashion week held in Paris last June, so that the womenswear collection to be showcased in September will attract all of the attention. The label's return to the show calendar is drawing near, and it is expected to be a grand affair.
According to our information, Saint Laurent's Spring/Summer 2017 collection will be unveiled on the first day of the Paris Fashion Week, on the evening of Tuesday 27th September.
The label’s show was usually planned for the following Monday, on the calendar's seventh day. Instead, Saint Laurent has now taken a slot in the opening day, previously chosen by Anthony Vaccarello to show his own brand.
The coincidence did not fail to raise a few questions: does this mean that Anthony Vaccarello's eponymous brand will cease to be?
Asked about it, Vaccarello's communications agency stated it continues to work with the designer and it is not aware of any closure.
