Paul & Joe channels retro cool for summer 2016 makeup

Paul & Joe Beauté is taking to the waves this summer with its "Come Sail Away" makeup collection, featuring poptastic colors with a 1960s and 70s vibe. The collection is due out from May.
Although warmer weather is taking its time to arrive in Europe, beauty brands are diving head first into summer with makeup ranges that burst with color and shine.
The summer season is naturally conducive to a healthy, glowing look, with skin that's less "done" than usual and simply lifted by a few highlighting touches. Skin should have the healthy, lightly bronzed glow of a day spent in the sun.
To achieve this, Paul & Joe has released a "Face & Eye Color Palette" (€35) to bring out the best in cheeks and eyes. It comes in three combinations of three colors, with palettes of nude hues, of cheery coral colors and of lively summer shades. Eyes get a wash of khaki, blue or pink, while cheeks are flushed with fresh, luminous shades. The three palettes come decorated with prints from the brand's spring/summer 2015 fashion collection.
Paul & Joe has also concocted a moisturizing body mist to keep skin hydrated and protected in the summer sun and salty seawater. "Sun Protection Body Mist" (€16) offers SPF 20 protection while keeping skin hydrated with a moisturizing spritz.
Paul & Joe brings soft color to lips this season with very natural shades. For summer 2016, the brand's new collection of "Lip Sticks" (€19) have been formulated using a unique technique borrowed from Japanese candy-making. Like Kintaro-ame candy, the lipsticks have a cat face running through the middle of them. They're available in red, beige and pink shades.
There's something for everyone when it comes to nails, with 10 new shades of "Nail Polish" (€16), from natural tones to candy-bright colors. Beauty addicts can get busy with a white, a chocolate brown, a deep red, a purple and several shades of pink.
Certain products from the "Come Sail Away" collection, such as the lipsticks and palettes, are due out in limited edition from May. The nail polishes and body mist are set to follow in June.
