Michael Kors: Stephane Lafay, formerly at Tiffany, in charge of Asia

Michael Kors, which continues to expand worldwide, had no other choice than to create a president of Asia position. And for good reason as the American label, whose annual turnover exceeds 3.3 billion dollars (2.4 billion euros), generates more than 2.7 billion at home, 500 million in Europe, but only 38 million in the rest of the world, or just 28 million euros.

The position has been filled by Stephane Lafay. Lafay has worked for the past 5 years with Tiffany as senior vice-president, Asia-Pacific and Japan. He is very familiar with the Japanese market indeed, having served as general manager of perfumes for Nina Ricci in Japan from 2001 to 2003 and as president of Bulgari Japan from 2004 to 2009.
