Ten years after Gosha Rubchinskiy first launched, on Wednesday 4th April the label announced on its Instagram account it is putting an end to seasonal collections. The label, founded in 2008 by Russian fashion designer and photographer Georgiy Rubchinskiy, wrote: "We are putting an end to the Gosha Rubchinskiy brand as you've known it. We will no longer have seasonal collections. Instead, something new is coming."

An intriguing teaser, issued by a label which in the last few seasons caught the attention of major names like Burberry and Adidas with its style blending sombre Soviet-era looks, streetwear influences, glimpses of disenchanted Russian youth and a love of football. These collaborations played a major role in the label's range.

Though the outline of what the brand will be like isn't clear yet, a few days ago, in an interview to Hypebeast magazine, Rubchinskiy said that "Our focus is on PACCBET (рассвет in Russian, meaning ‘dawn’, the skateboarder label launched by Rubchinskiy). I'm a little tired of [churning out] collections one season after another, like I do with the Gosha line. I want to change strategy and work on specific projects. This could even lead my developing womenswear. We want to do more collaborations with PACCBET, our capsule collection with Carhartt was just the beginning."

The label belongs to Comme des Garçons and is available at about 120 stores worldwide, including the Dover Street Market chain, which also belongs to the Japanese group.
