Yoko Ono creates capsule collection for Opening Ceremony

Icon Yoko Ono has joined forces with Opening Ceremony to create a capsule collection inspired by a series of sketches she gave to her husband, John Lennon, for their wedding in 1969. The artist said the designs are homage to John Lennon’s ‘hot bod’.

The items have yet to be revealed but Humberto Leon, one half of Opening Ceremony, told then press that the pieces are close representations of the drawings. There is said to be a pair of boots complete with an incense holder and a pair of trousers with a hand sewn to the crotch. The collection is called ‘Fashions for Men: 1969 – 2012’ and comprises of 52 pieces and will be available from Opening Ceremony in the United States from 27 November and the beginning of December for Tokyo and London.
