Wolford closes 2022 with 16% sales growth

According to still unaudited figures, the Austrian hoisery specialist achieved a turnover of 126.6 million euros in the 2022 financial year, an increase of 16 % compared to 2021, as the company announced on Friday.

The increase in turnover was achieved across all channels, with the direct-to-customer business growing by + 21 % and Wholesale by + 3 %.

The North America region grew by + 45 %, the EMEA region by + 9 % and in the 'rest of the world' sales increased by 80 %, while there was a decline in sales of - 7 % in the Greater China region due to lockdowns.

On the earnings side, the outlook given at the half-year has been confirmed, expecting no improvement in the operating result (EBIT) for the full year. At the end of September, the company, which belongs to the Chinese Lanvin Group, reported a loss of 16.9 million euros.
