On 1st January 2017, Victor V. Duran will take over from Franz Julen as CEO of the Intersport International group, which Julen has headed for 16 years. To ensure a smooth transition, Victor V. Duran and Franz Julen will work together for three months, from 1st October to 31st December 2016.

Victor V. Duran, 49, has worked as Senior Vice-President for Direct Retail, E-commerce and Marketing at the Amer Sports group since 2010. The Finnish group, with its brands Salomon, Arc’Teryx, Wilson and Mavic, among others, generated a revenue of €2.534 billion in 2015.

Before joining Amer Sports, Victor V. Duran notably worked for two consultancy firms in the UK, and was for five years Marketing General Manager for Caterpillar's EMEA region.

In 2015, Intersport's 5,400 affiliated stores in 43 countries generated a consolidated revenue of €11.03 billion, equivalent to a 5.1 % rise. The group's The Athlete's Foot retail brand, with 460 stores in 26 countries, has for its part generated a revenue of €307 million.
