Several days after the opening of a third logistics centres for Vestiaire Collective in Toucoing, Christian Jorge, one of the founders of the second-hand luxury goods online store, announced via LinkedIn his adventure with the firm has come to an end.

When contacted by FashionNetwork.com, Christian Jorge said that after nine years of building and developing Vestiaire Collective, the co-founder now wants to launch a "new entrepreneurial adventure, still in fashion", without disclosing any further details.

The project looks to involve one of his former colleagues, with whom he established Vestiaire Collective, Alexandre Cognard, and who also left the online portal several months prior, after leading the technical aspects of the site. Christian Jorge and Alexandre Cognard are well acquainted, having co-founded several other initiatives prior to Vestiaire Collective.

Christian Jorge was previously head of product for the used luxury goods site, before becoming director of operations in 2013, and then vice president in charge of operations and client relations; a role he was given in January 2017.

In 2009 at the debut of Vestiaire Collective, the site's staff was comprised of just six people. Today, it boasts some six million members and a catalogue of 300 products. As it stands, Sébastien Fabre is the CEO, with Sophie Hersan serving as head of fashion, Fanny Moizant as head of marketing, while Henrique Fernandes is head of logistics.

Moving forward, Christian Jorge remains a stakeholder in the company and his role will be quickly succeeded. For now, the name of his replacement has not been communicated, but Vestiaire Collective is due to announce something shortly.
