The 20,800-square-foot two-level store opened on Friday. The store features core items for men, women, kids and babies, as well as the brand's signature items such as Blocktech, Ultra Light Down, Heattech, Cashmere, Extra Fine Merino, Jeans and Oxford Shirts. The retail location will equally carry the Uniqlo U collection and the "Uniqlo and JW Anderson" collection.

The store is located on the Ground Level and Lower Level, and faces the Grand Court of the mall.

"Opening in Vancouver was the natural next step for Uniqlo in Canada – we create clothing that is perfectly suited to the lifestyle of Vancouverites," said Yasuhiro Hayashi, COO of Uniqlo Canada.

The Metropolis at Metrotown Uniqlo marks the company’s third store in Canada. The retailer entered the Canadian market in fall 2016 with the opening of its first store in Toronto at CF Toronto Eaton Centre, followed by a second store opening at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Since opening its first store in Japan in 1984, Uniqlo has around 1,800 stores in 18 markets worldwide including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and more.
