Tom Ford promotes Brian Blake to President and COO

Tom Ford International on Tuesday announced the promotion of Brian Blake to President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. He previously served as CEO of distribution and manufacturing at the company, and will succeed Tom Mendenhall who left the position to pursue other interests.

In his new role, Blake will oversee all business activities and operations for Tom Ford International, and he will report directly to Tom Ford.
 
Blake possesses 40 years of luxury fashion experience, many of which were spent working directly with Ford. Prior to joining the company, he served as President and COO of Gucci Worldwide, where he worked with Ford, COO and Commercial Director Worldwide for Prada and Miu Miu and President and COO Worldwide of Burberry.

Mendenhall served as President and COO of Tom Ford International for over 10 years. He also held executive positions at Gucci, Abercrombie & Fitch and Charivari.
 
Tom Ford recently hired Charlotte Blechman as its first Chief Marketing Officer, and announced that it will launch a line of luxury watches and a men’s underwear line. The company currently operates 124 global freestanding stores and shop-in-shops.
