In 2012 Alexander Pap launched The New Designers, making an impression with his new take on bomber jackets, worn by several US hip-hop stars. Recently, his collaboration with French brand Enswear produced a series of overcoats and shirts with colourful zip fastenings, featured at Colette concept store in Paris. The French designer has now decided to exploit his creative potential by expanding his range, as well as highlighting the work of other young designers.

A creation by Alix Dapoigny

The brand set up a competition and selected projects by Alix Dapoigny, Presley Feriaux and Valentin Euthine. Alix Dapoigny presented a chic, feminine look inspired by cricket, Presley Feriaux went for a restyled urban look, and Valentin Euthine drew inspiration from martial arts for a line full of subtlety. The New Designers is supporting the three stylists in manufacturing and distribution.

The brand is relying on Marseilles-based company JL26 for its distribution in France, and is already available at about forty stores. The New Designers also enjoys visibility abroad, and has made a move on the international market. It attended the Jacket Required trade show in London, and the Liberty show in Las Vegas, presenting its concept and establishing links with several important players in fashion distribution.

In order to establish itself internationally, the brand has also opened two showrooms. It is present in Rotterdam, with agents covering the Netherlands and northern Belgium, as well in the USA with a showroom in New York.
