Kristofer Tonström takes over from Anna Lönnerstedt, who has been serving as interim CEO since 1 September 2016. She will remain in the company as Range & Supply Director.

Tonström has many years of experience working in international brands, and his career has focused on innovation, marketing and sales. He was mostly recently CEO of Omega Pharma Nordic AB, and spent more than 10 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held a variety of roles including Marketing Director.

"Filippa K is one of the strongest and most exciting fashion brands in North America. I am delighted to be part of the Filippa K team and build an even bigger and stronger company," said Kristofer Tonström.

Simon Griffiths has international experience in strategy and business development and has worked at EQT and Bain & Company. Filippa K’s acting Chairman, Eric Persson, will continue to serve as a board member.

Further to the appointments, the designer brand confirmed that its founder Filippa Knutsson will assume the role of Creative Director on 13 January, as previously announced in December.

"With Kristofer, Simon and Filippa's appointments, the company now has a strong leadership team, and Kristofer's solid experience with branded and fast-paced consumer goods, as well as Filippa's unique design style, are the right combination for the brand,” said outgoing Chaiman Eric Persson.

“This trio, together with the management team and all Filippa K employees, will help ensure a successful year.”

The Stockholm-based company has over 50 boutiques and is available in 650 stores in Europe, North America and Asia.
