The Austrian crystal specialist has revealed the names of the designers featured in the 2017 edition of its 'Swarovski Collective' programme.

The group has selected 11 labels for the project. They are British designers Emilia Wickstead, Faustine Steinmetz and Sadie Williams, Rosie Assoulin, Tome and Creatures of the Wind from the USA, Finnish brand Aalto, Anne Sofie Madsen from Denmark, Arthur Arbesser and Vivetta from Milan, and Paris-based Wanda Nylon.

All of these designers will be advised by a mentor, will receive financial support and will be able to decorate their spring and autumn creations with gems supplied by Swarovski. In June 2018, one of them will also be awarded the 'Swarovski Collective' prize, worth €25,000.

In the meantime, the designers will be getting to grips with their collections, which are to be showcased at the fashion weeks in London, New York, Paris and Milan.

'Swarovski Collective' was launched in 1999, when Nadja Swarovski collaborated with Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow. Over 150 designers have taken part in the project, among them Alexander Wang, Hussein Chalayan, Viktor & Rolf and Christopher Kane. Rosie Assoulin was the winner in 2016.
