Seasalt Cornwall, the Cornish fashion brand, has expanded the business with an extended range of plus-sized styles for the spring/summer 17 season. The move follows an explosion in plus-size demand in the UK as the market accounts for more than 12% of all clothing sales and has a value above £5bn.

The launch will see over 150 lines available up to size 24 and include many brand favourites such as the Breton stripe Sailor Shirt and unique Seasalt prints.

Neil Chadwick, Seasalt Co-founder said: “We always design with shape in mind. We use real women to fit and test all of our clothing. We’ve listened carefully to our customers and we’re pleased to offer some of our favourite pieces up to size 24.”

The new plus-size pieces will be presented by a ‘real Seasalt woman’, Lottie Mackfall, who has worked for the brand for several years.

The collection, which will include dresses, tops, tunics and trousers, will launch on 5 December with new additions every month.

Seasalt has 40 stores across the UK and its collections are stocked in select John Lewis and Fenwick stores. The Cornish retailer operates also an e-commerce store.
