A manager experienced in medium to high-end sportswear and ready-to-wear brands has taken charge of France for Scotch & Soda. The Dutch fashion brand has appointed Emmanuel Galle as general manager France. Since 2015, Galle had been in charge of the French business for Hackett London, later extending his remit to all the Pepe Jeans labels in France.

Galle was the commercial director France for Helly Hansen in the early 2000s, then went on to lead Gaastra and McGregor in France for approximately 10 years, until 2015.

Since early September, Scotch & Soda has been managed by Frederik Lukoff, the former CEO of Stella McCartney, who took over from Dirk-Jan Stoppelenburg, now chairman of the board of directors. The Dutch label was founded in 1985 and currently operates some 250 monobrand stores. Its products are also available at over 8,000 multibrand retailers worldwide. For the 2016-17 financial year, Scotch & Soda reported a revenue of €335 million.

In France, Scotch & Soda operates about 20 monobrand shops, including four outlet stores. A series of new openings are expected by the end of the year. It is also distributed by about 500 multibrand retailers in the country.
