This month, Scotch & Soda is setting up its first store in Hong Kong. The Dutch brand, which has 110 stores worldwide, is starting off its entry into the Chinese market with the former British colony, planting the first flag in the Harbour City shopping center in Kowloon. A second store to be located in the International Finance Center has already been announced for October.

The entry via Hong Kong is the fruit of a partnership formed with the Asian company Imaginex. The agreement will run over the next five years with the establishment of a store network in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China.
Imaginex has some 510 points of sale covering around 800,000 square feet, representing brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Paul Smith, Marc by Marc Jacobs and DKNY. Asian consumers are already familiar with Scotch & Soda. Imaginex makes up part of the The Lane Crawford Joyce Group, which owns Lane Crawford department stores, which have distributed the brand since 2008.
