The Swiss luxury watch brand Richard Mille presents a bold and mouth-wateringly creative candy-inspired collection at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watch fair in Geneva, Switzerland. Each of the collection's 10 models is produced in just 30 editions.

The sophisticated and complex world of luxury watchmaking can sometimes channel its inner child to raise a smile. Richard Mille does just that with the new Bonbon Collection, from artistic director, Cécile Guenat.

Despite its lighthearted appearance, this colorful candy-themed collection -- featuring a veritable goodie bag of mouth-watering treats -- is the fruit of meticulous craftsmanship, the push for innovation, and the flawless mastery of materials, colors and shapes.

From setting colorful precious stones and working with colored ceramics, to superimposing layers of materials and delicate enameling, the collection called on a vast array of skills and in-depth knowledge.

Based on three iconic Richard Mille timepieces, the collection features two distinct lines: the "Sweets Line," featuring four models, and the "Fruit Line," bursting with six sweet flavors.

The "Sweets Line" includes the "RM 07-03 Cupcake," the "RM 07-03 Marshmallow," the "RM 37-01 Sucette (Lollipop)" and the "RM 16-01 Réglisse (Liquorice)," each with a two-tone ceramic case revealing grand feu enamel or black-chromed titanium candies that look good enough to eat.

With the "Fruit Line," Richard Mille proposes six juicy flavors: kiwi and cherry for the "RM 37-01," blueberry and litchi for the "RM 07-03," and lemon and strawberry for the "RM 16-01." Watch cases are made from quartz TPT and carbon TPT.

"In addition to color-gradient cases made of Carbon TPT® combined with Quartz TPT® of a different hue for each model is an all-new turquoise color. To further enhance the 3,000 miniature sculptures are painted in acrylics and lacquered by hand.

A 'sugar coating' effect was achieved using powdered enamel and the fine sand employed in hourglasses," the brand explains in a statement.

Sweet-toothed watch fans have a total of ten models to choose from, with production limited to 30 editions each.
