Rag & Bone is making its entrance on the British market. As of the end of July, the design duo – the darlings of New York fashion week – will have their first European flagship store at 13/14 Sloane Street. The entire range of menswear and womenswear will be available at the store. To celebrate the event, the British Fashion Council has invited David Neville and Marcus Wainwright to present their spring-summer 2013 collection at London Fashion Week, a week after their show in New York on 7th September.

Sloane Street, chosen location for Rag & Bone, is currently under development with the Cadogan Estate scheme, co-directed by CBRE London, and will also soon welcome Browns, the well-known on-trend luxury label, as well as Alberta Ferretti and Tom Ford.

Rag & Bone, supported since its birth by 30% stakeholder Andrew Rosen – CEO of Theory – has signed a lease for 10 years with rent of £650,000 per year.

It was also Andrew Rosen who bought the majority of the 45% of shares in Proenza Schouler from the Valentino Group in 2011. He has made a name for himself by investing in New York’s rising stars of the “contemporary fashion” scene – a sector in which Rag & Bone specializes as does Theory, the brand which he founded and which is today owned by Japan’s Fast Retailing with an annual turnover of around 700 million dollars (source: Wall Street Journal).
