Polly Jackson has joined eco-focused menswear specialist Cut & Pin as its trade director. Her LinkedIn page says she joined last month in a part-time role.

She had previously been with software specialist Discover.ai since 2020 but had a fashion background before joining that firm. Earlier roles included senior trading merchandiser at Pure Collection, several merchandiser roles at New Look in her four years with the retailer, and a number of freelance positions, including at Debenhams

Cut & Pin was launched in late 2020 as a pureplay online brand, although the label is also stocked by a number of physical retailers in the UK. Jackson had already worked with its founders Martin Parker (at Debenhams) and Al Baker (at Pure Collection).

Its vision is “to create a wardrobe collection of everyday pieces, designed and made with integrity at their core”.

It focuses on styles and pieces that will last, made in the “most responsible way”. That means sourcing textiles from deadstock fabrics, using recycled materials, and naturally sourced organic materials. And it works with family-owned suppliers that can make small and exclusive runs.
