Pinterest to launch Buyable Pins in the US

Pinterest on Tuesday today the launch of Buyable Pins, a way for users to buy products on Pinterest. Brands, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom among others will be shopable by Pinterest users in the US.

Buyable Pins will be available to users on the home feed. Pins that can be shopped will have a “Buy It” button, and when a user wishes to purchase the item they can pay with either Apple Pay or a credit card. If users don’t want to pay in the moment then they can save the Pin for a future purchase.

Buyable Pins will be available on the iPhone and iPad in the US only and will be available on the Android and desktop and internationally in the near future.

In conjunction with the launch, Pinterest also announced a new shop categories called “Shop our picks” that will feature a curated selection of products, and “Shop” for the latest buyable pins.
