Perry Ellis enters new licensing agreement in Mexico

Perry Ellis International announced it has entered into a new men's apparel and accessories license agreement in Mexico with Wolf Company S.A. de C.V. for distribution of its Cubavera brand.

Cubavera

Cubavera is one of Perry Ellis' wholly owned subsidiaries. It is rooted in Latin American culture and is inspired by the vibrant color, music and iconic style of Cuba.

Cubavera specifically got its start as a brand by reinterpreting the guayabera shirt, an elegant yet casual tropical linen shirt reminiscent of colorful and laid-back island life.

Wolf Company is 100% Mexican-owned and has been in the retail business operating boutiques in Mexico for over 40 years. It was at the forefront of distribution of the authentic guayabera shirt, making it a perfect partner for Perry Ellis and Cubavera.

Jose Enrique Aguilar Gonzales, Brand Manager of Mexico's Wolf Company, stated, "Cubavera perfectly adapts to the great cultural and natural wealth of Mexico, its beaches, resort areas and holiday destinations of great importance in the world."

George Feldenkreis, Executive Chairman of Perry Ellis International said, "This collaboration is consistent with our initiatives to expand the Cubavera brand and we look forward to marketing the brand to a new and expanded generation of consumers in Mexico."

The new Cubavera product will begin hitting department and specialty stores across Mexico in Fall 2017 and will include both men's apparel and accessories.
