An interactive AR platform allowing brands to carry out company-wide beauty advisor training through a private livestream channel, the company’s YouCam A.R.T. service is being made available to beauty companies for free until July 31, 2020.

The YouCam A.R.T. Special Program for Covid-19 will allow brands to host a maximum of three 60-minute sessions of AR training every week in an effort to facilitate continuing operations in the context of travel restrictions being implemented due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Session hosts can train employees around the world, integrating slideshows, polls and even virtual beauty try-ons into their livestream presentations. Viewers can also interact with AR beauty try-ons, give feedback and ask questions.

“The recent expansion of the novel coronavirus on a global scale has prompted companies to take more precautions. Protecting the health of employees has quickly become the highest priority with remote working arrangements becoming the new norm,” commented Perfect Corp founder and CEO Alice Chang in a release. “We’re here to help beauty brands remain productive during this precarious time, by offering complimentary licenses of remote AR live training, making the employee learning process run smoothly.”

As Covid-19 spreads disruption around the globe, Perfect Corp’s response to the health crisis could be also be an interesting opportunity for the company to introduce its services to new clients.

Indeed, in its release, the company was eager to point out that, even outside of the specific context of the coronavirus outbreak, the growing popularity of remote and work-from-home strategies has meant that beauty brands have had to find increasingly creative technology-based solutions to their changing needs.

Brands can request to use the YouCam A.R.T. Special Program for Covid-19 via an online application form.
