The company, which also holds licences for G.H. Bass & Co and Vilebrequin Chaussures, is to design and distribute Karl Lagerfeld shoes for men and women in Europe and the Middle East, with the first collection launching for the Fall 2017 season.

“We are continuously expanding our offering as a fashion lifestyle brand, and our licensing agreement with Overland Shoes Ltd. represents a fantastic opportunity to grow our footwear collections in Europe and the Middle East,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.

“Overland’s strong experience in the licensed footwear business makes them an ideal partner to elevate the Karl Lagerfeld footwear brand and to reach new consumers.”

Karl Lagerfeld footwear will showcase the brand’s signature playful aesthetic featured across all ready-to-wear and accessories collections. The products will be designed by both design teams under the artistic direction of Karl Lagerfeld and will be largely manufactured in Italy using premium quality leathers and materials.

“I am delighted to be a part of the prestigious Karl Lagerfeld brand and expect to build a significant footwear presence at retail,” commented Stephen Palmer, Chairman and Chief Executive of Overland Shoes Ltd.

The first collection will be available at key retailers and Karl Lagerfeld stores, as well as online, from June 2017.
