With the partnership, the parties aim to offer Amsterdam-based retailers and their Amsterdam-based customers an affordable, fast, and carbon neutral delivery process, the companies said in a press release.

The new delivery service will be available from 1 February and includes same-day delivery and express delivery. Same-day delivery is priced at €5.95: items ordered before 2 p.m. will be delivered between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Express delivery costs €15.95 and customers will receive orders within 90 minutes.

Marieke Bolhuis, project manager at BijOns, said: “Thanks to this collaboration with Fietskoeriers.nl, Amsterdam will soon be able to say that it is the first city where everything that is for sale in Amsterdam can be delivered across the city within an hour and a half.”

Marieke Snoek, CEO at Fietskoeriers.nl, added: “This partnership contributes to our goal to make the world greener and to get fossil vehicles out of the city. The city will become more livable. We are very proud of this collaboration.”

Bij Ons Amsterdam, launched in 2018 by the City of Amsterdam, currently features 350 retailers. In addition to promotion and creating more visibility, the retailers featured on the platform receive (financial) support from the municipality in regard to digitalization, online order systems, CO2 neutral delivery partners and mobile payment options to further stimulate local shopping in the city. Featured fashion retailers include Biggles, Pure Brands, Studio Jux, We are Vintage, The Dam by Vans and Moise.

Fietskoeriers.nl is a network of last mile specialists. With 18 affiliated partners, Fietskoeriers.nl is active in 33 Dutch cities. The company also partners with online department store Wehkamp.
