Nordstrom reported a 9.2% increase in net sales to $3.6 billion from $3.3 billion and a 4.9% increase in total company comparable sales compared to last year. Net sales for Nordstrom.com increased 20% in the second quarter, and Nordstrom Rack’s net sales increased 13% to $0.9 billion. The increase in net sales for second quarter 2015 is the fourth consecutive quarter of single-digit growth for the company.

The company’s Rewards Program contributed greatly to the sales numbers. Sales numbers from the Rewards Programs increased 10% in Q2 2015 and represented 44% of sales. The program currently has 4.5 million active members that shop three times more frequently and spend four times more on average than non-members.

Nordstrom updated its outlook for 2015, and it now expects to finish the year with an 8.5% to 9.5% increase in net sales and a 3.5% to 4.5% increase in comparable sales.
