Nike has announced that its new HyperAdapt 1.0 shoes will be available beginning in December for a price of $720.

The shoes feature what Nike calls "adaptive lacing," meaning that sensors at the heel level activate the lacing when a foot slips into the shoe.

Customers will be able to try the HyperAdapt 1.0 in its Black/White-Blue Lagoon colorway at the Nike Soho store and the NIKE+ ClubHouse at 45 Grand in New York beginning December 1. Information about booking appointments will be available on nike.com and the Nike+ app.

A small group of Nike+ app users will also have early access on November 28.

Later in the month, the shoes will be available in Black/White-Blue Lagoon and Metallic Silver/Black-White colorways through the Nike+ app and select Nike stores in the US.
