American football star Jared Goff has landed a new role with Banana Republic.

The professional quarterback has been selected by the fashion brand to act as its newest ambassador and join its ‘Men's Style Council' -- a group of athletes tapped to showcase its menswear collections. Goff's first task for the label will be to front a campaign set for release this summer, alongside the launch of its new Core Temp suiting concept, comprising suit separates engineered with 37.5 Technology to keep the body at an ideal core temperature, regardless of external conditions.

Announcing the news to his 333,000 Instagram followers, Goff said he was "honored and excited" about the new partnership, while Banana Republic Chief Marketing Officer Mary Alderete said in a statement: "Jared has become a fan of our pieces over the past year, so making this official was a natural next step."

Banana Republic first established its Men's Style Council in 2017, with the help of the quarterback Matt Ryan, the baseball star Didi Gregorius and the pro basketball player C.J. McCollum. The concept aims to showcase some of the most dynamic and stylish athletes who exemplify the spirit of the brand's menswear collections.
