Leading fine jewelry and watch brands will be honored at a new Paris awards ceremony launched by The National Jewelry Institute and The New School's Parsons School for Design.

The ceremony will be held on July 5 to coincide with the start of Paris Couture Week, Women's Wear Daily reports. A gala dinner at the Louvre the following day is expected to attract Bulgari, Dior, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton, among others.

Around 35 brands will submit their creations for review by a judging panel comprising industry experts including Judith Price, president of the National Jewelry Institute, and Béatrix Saule, chief curator of the Palace of Versailles, ahead of the ceremony.
