With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, London-based Alighieri and YNAP’s Yoox have launched a capsule collection “dedicated to friendship, love and sharing special moments”.

The sustainable jewellery brand, which took its name from Dante Alighieri (of Divine Comedy fame), was founded by Rosh Mahtani in 2014.

The new unisex capsule collection is created through the process of lost-wax casting where designs are transformed from wax to bronze and then gold-plated. The Yoox collection includes a set of broken heart padlock necklaces that fit together in reunion, a bracelet, two rings and two pairs of coloured ceramic earrings that have been specifically designed for Gen Z.

“The Alighieri x Yoox capsule is a collection of symbols to guide the younger generations through the ups and downs of life’s daily challenges and adventures,” Mahaani said, adding: “Remember when you would say goodbye to your friends at the end of the day and you would hug them like you would never see them again, this is the sort of love we want to celebrate.”

That’s the sort of caring, sharing sentiment that we’re seeing in more products launch releases as brands seek to promote togetherness in a near-post-pandemic environment and strike a chord with younger who’ve seen nothing comparable in their lifetimes.

The collection is also included in the Yooxygen section of Yoox due to Alighieri’s sustainable and ethical profile.
