London: Men’s Fashion Week will no longer conflict with Pitti Uomo

The conflict in the men’s fashion week calendar has been resolved. Following a controversy arising from Pitti Uomo’s desire to start a week earlier on January 8 every year, the Italian show finally backtracked. Now, it seems that dates announced by British Fashion Council for its 2015 and 2016 Men's fashion week, no longer conflict with those in Florence, will be ideal.

Since its launch in 2012, London Collections Men has overlapped with Pitti Uomo on one day each year. But the British federation has just moved its dates forward a little so that the two events will link up perfectly starting in January 2015 (in June 2014, there will be still be a two-day overlap between London and Florence, Ed.)

London Men’s Fashion Week will thus be held from January 10 to 12, 2015, followed by Pitti Uomo from Jan. 13 to 16, Milan from Jan. 17 to 20, and finally Paris from Jan. 21 to 24. The same schedule will be followed for the next three seasons, with kick-off dates in London set for June 13, 2015 to Jan. 9, 2016 and finally on June 11, 2016. Both events in London and Florence should therefore run smoothly over the next two years.
