Part of department store Liberty London’s appeal may be its traditions and its ‘old world’ charm, but the business is continuing to embrace technology as it moves forward post-pandemic.

It has linked up with Future Workforce to support the rollout of robotic process automation tech from UiPath. This means that the e-commerce team will be able to get products launched on Liberty’s webstore more quickly.

The automated robots can gather images from brands, find product codes and rename images quickly to make them ready for publishing on the site.

At the moment, the solution has been deployed for beauty and has now been operational for a few weeks. It will be rolled out to fashion and home later.

“The UiPath platform has become an important tool to add to our armoury,” chief information officer Martin Draper said. Future Workforce is a certified System Integrator and Gold partner to tech firm UiPath.

Draper added that the partnership “has been a great way to improve the speed and efficiency of some legacy, manual processes”, and the retailer will “use the time saved within our Trade teams to create and promote new customer offerings that will increase revenue and improve conversion”.
