Lanvin has recently signed a licence agreement with Italian children's fashion specialist Simonetta, for the design, production and distribution of its children's collection, Lanvin Enfants (Lanvin kids). The first collection will be launched in Spring/Summer 2017, and will outfit boys and girls from 2 to 14 years of age, and babies aged 3 to 24 months. The line will also include accessories and footwear.

The Lanvin Enfants collection will be distributed worldwide in select retail outlets such as department stores. It will also be featured from its inception in Lanvin's leading stores in Paris, London, Milan, New York and Shanghai.

"Jeanne Lanvin created her first designs out of love, for her daughter Marguerite. Maternity encouraged her to take up needle and thread to devise a wardrobe, it was the start of children's fashion, which became Lanvin's first department in 1908. It was the obvious thing to do to join forces with Simonetta to give a new impulse to Lanvin's children's collections," said Michèle Huiban, CEO of Lanvin. In 2011 Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's then Creative Director, revamped the label's collection dedicated to young girls.

Simonetta reports a revenue of €40 million, and produces the eponymous brand, as well as creating under licence the children's collections for Roberto Cavalli and Fendi.
