Jondeau, who frequently modelled for Karl and his house, and even marched the catwalk in multiple Chanel shows, was already a menswear ambassador to the house of Lagerfeld.

His first new creative ideas will be unveiled in June within a Rue St. Guillaume Menswear Athleisure assortment, which will be launched as part of the pre-fall 2022 collection this summer.

“Sebastien Jondeau provided significant creative input throughout the design and development phases,” the fashion brand, whose French headquarters are on Rue St. Guillaume in St Germain, said in a release.

“An avid sports fan and active lifestyle enthusiast, he shared his personal insights with Design Director Hun Kim and the rest of the Karl Lagerfeld design team, who implemented his innovative ideas in the selection,” the release concluded.

Born in Paris, the 46-year-old Jondeau is also the author of a memoir on the great German designer entitled "Ça Va, Cher Karl?" Or, "How are you, dear Karl?" It was co-authored with French journalist Virginie Mouzat.
