In the first quarter of fiscal year 2022/2023 that closed on June 30, the L'Occitane cosmetics group recorded sales of €416 million, up 15.8% at constant exchange rates over the same period last year.

During the period, the group, which owns L'Occitane en Provence, Elemis and Melvita, benefited from its recent acquisitions that include Sol de Janeiro, which reported first-quarter sales of €40.8 million, and Grown Alchemist, acquired in March 2022.

The group's flagship brand, L'Occitane en Provence, posted sales of €290.5 million, up 5.9%. Elemis sales increased by 9.8% to €40.3 million, and the "other brands" division, which includes Melvita, Erborian, L'Occitane in Brazil, LimeLife and now Grown Alchemist, posted sales of €44.5 million, down 3.4%. This decline is attributable to LimeLife's weak performance.

At constant growth rates, APAC grew 1.2%, Americas grew 55.5% and EMEA grew 10.3% in Q1.
