Private equity fund L Capital, established in 2001 with the sponsorship of LVMH and Groupe Arnault, announced on Monday the acquisition of a 50% stake in the women’s ready-to-wear brand Ba&sh for an undisclosed amount.

Ba&sh spring-summer 15. - Ba&sh printemps-été 15.

The brand’s founders, Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief, as well as Vog Group, which invests in fashion, will retain a 50% stake, according to a statement.

Through the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Ba&sh "is to confirm its success in France and accelerate its international expansion,” according to a statement.

Founded in 2003, the brand is present in France via 60 points of sale. The brand has not provided information regarding the geographic regions where it intends to develop abroad.

L Capital invests primarily in the following areas: beauty and well-being, personal equipment, household and family equipment, and selective retailing.

In recent years, the fund has made equity investments in over 25 companies, including, in 2010, the brands Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot (GSPC).
