Kingpins, the denim tradeshow, has finalized the schedule for its upcoming Amsterdam show, which will take place at the Westergasfabriek on October 26-27.

"With the news of two shows being back-to-back this fall, Kingpins felt it necessary to give an update on all our events," said Andrew Olah, founder of the Kingpins Show, Transformers and WHY by Kingpins. "From inspiration served up in an entirely new way to frank conversations about the environment, the economy and the future of our industry – not to mention our very strong exhibitor roster – Kingpins Amsterdam will be another must-attend event."

"WHY by Kingpins," the first-ever trade show to focus on branding in the denim industry, will be held adjacent to the regular Kingpins show, at the Transformatorhuis in Amsterdam's Westerpark, during the same dates. Kingpins Amsterdam will also feature Transformers, which will see industry leaders discuss what's going on in the denim industry. The theme is "Toxic Future: Is the Scary Part of Hazardous Chemicals On the Way?" and the panel will include representatives from Levi Strauss, Clean Production Action, Dystar, Archroma, Bluesign and Garmon.

As previously reported in FashionMag, Kingpins has also teamed up with noted denim consultant Amy Leverton, who will create denim trend forecasts for the tradeshow. The first one of these will be held at Kingpins Amsterdam, in conjunction with an installation of garments designed by exhibitors that will serve as a visual example of the trends.

The show will also see the return of the Global Denim Awards, which pair the world's premier denim mills with up-and-coming designers.
