Kate Moss' crown is up for sale

Published
Aug 11, 2015

In one of the first magazine photo-shoots of Kate Moss, the young model was wearing a crown that is now being auctioned at Christie's in London. Estimated to sell for between £5,000 and £8,000, the felt crown made its appearance in an editorial shoot by Kate Garner and styled by Claire Hall, published by i-D Magazine.

The piece, created by top milliner Stephen Jones, became Kate Moss history, as the then 14 year old model went on to become one of the world’s most influential models.

Besides the bejeweled crown, Christie’s "Out of the Ordinary" sale include a rare Beatles portable four-speed record player from 1964 and the Minotaur’s costume from the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, 2008 production. The auction will take place in South Kensington on September 10.
