“The launch of Karl Lagerfeld Denim is an exciting, high-potential addition to our brand’s diverse product portfolio,” said Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive officer of Karl Lagerfeld. “Giada is a leading producer and marketer of premium denim production, and we are fascinated by their love for product details.”

Based in Veneto since its debut in 1987, Giada produces its ready-to-wear items and accessories in Italy. Since 2004, the firm has been in charge of the manufacturing and distribution of the premium denim brand Jacob Cohen.

As for the new Karl Lagerfeld Denim line, the collection will boast a large selection including selvedge denim, jeans with lurex effects and other fashionable coatings. The cuts will range too; from skinny to boyfriend to 'biker fits'.

The new men's and women's collections will be released for spring 2019. In the meantime, jeans will form part of the brand's main collection, with the license being signed for ten seasons.
