Jason Basmajian is leaving his position as chief creative officer of Cerruti 1881.

The US designer is parting ways with the luxury Italian fashion house that he joined in 2015, WWD reports.

"It has been a privilege to work for such iconic brands and write another chapter in their history," he told the publication. "I want to thank my incredible teams and talent that I have collaborated with over the years in addition to guidance and support from Mr. Cerruti."

During his tenure at the heritage brand, Basmajian re-introduced womenswear lines and ushered in a modern, laidback, elegance for its menswear collections that managed to maintain the codes of the label's founder, Nino Cerruti.

Basmajian, who previously worked at Brioni and S.T. Dupont, is reportedly leaving to explore new professional opportunities. His departure is the latest in a string of high-profile fashion moves, following Humberto Leon and Carol Lim's exit from Kenzo last month and subsequent replacement by Felipe Oliveira Baptista. The luxe label Marchesa -- a former red carpet favorite among celebrities -- also bid goodbye to its co-founder Karen Craig last month.
