Exhibitors and visitors to Jacket Required’s latest show this week welcomed the new curated layout and increased focus on premium and sustainable collections, the trade fair said.

Dedicated to contemporary menswear, this season, Jacket Required gave sustainable brands more space within the show as part of a new eco push. Additionally, the event’s plan to move to the Saatchi Gallery for Spring 2021 was “equally well received”, according to organisers.

This week’s edition at the Old Truman Brewery in East London was attended by buyers from well-known retail brands including End Clothing, Asos, Article, John Lewis, Urban Outfitters, The Project Store, Filati, Stuarts, Fenwick, Natterjacks, Sefton, Anthropology and Harvey Nichols.

Showroom A presented a host of sustainable brands, including Dashel, Conscious Step, Komodo, United Change Makers, Thalassophy, Revolution and Raeburn, and maintained a “buzzy” atmosphere throughout the two-day show.

Adam Gough, event director for Jacket Required said this season delivered a “successful and inspiring show”.

“It’s been positive to hear such great feedback on the changes we’ve made to the show, and we are feeling really upbeat about our future at the Saatchi Gallery.”

The event’s relocation, announced earlier this week, will see Jacket Required align more closely with its womenswear counterpart, Scoop. Taking place in the prestigious Saatchi Gallery in south west London, the new venue will give the event a new artistic edge, as well as a more upmarket positioning.

Jacket Required will be making its debut at the art gallery on 22-23 July, offering showroom spaces for Sustainable, Contemporary, Streetwear and Tailoring sectors.
