Italy's Brunello Cucinelli says sales up 10 pct in H1

In the six months ended June 30, Brunello Cuncinelli reported sales of 219.8 million euros (US$246.1 million), compared with 200.3 million euros (US$234.3 million) in the same period last year.

The Italian luxury fashion group said is saw considerable growth across all markets. Internationally, sales lifted 10.4% collectively, pushed on by greater China, which grew 15 percent in first six months of the year, said the group in a statement.

North America gained 9.7%, Europe rose 8.3% and the Rest of the World segment climbed a staggering 17.1%, said the group. Domestically, Italian revenues lifted 6.9%.

Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli saw an increase in revenues in all distribution channels: retail monobrand (+17.4%), wholesale monobrand (+1.2%), and wholesale multibrand (+4.8%).

"The first half of 2016 has ended reporting very positive results representing the constant, sound and balanced growth we are so fond of. We feel there is a very strong demand for high quality, very exclusive products in all markets, manufactured in our splendid Italy," said 
Brunello Cucinelli, Chairman and CEO.

"The order collection for the men's spring summer 2017 season is going very well. In particular, our taste and the way we combine colours and fit have been very appreciated."

Cucinelli went on to confirm full-year growth expectations, even in the Italian market.

"We were very pleased to see that our growth forecasts were confirmed for Italy as well. We therefore envisage a very positive future also for 2017 and at the same time we would like to confirm our growth project for the current year," added Cucinelli.

Brunello Cucinelli added five new boutiques so far in 2016.
