Slowear Venezia, the Italian multibrand retail concept owned by the Slowear group, has strengthened its position in Japan, its main overseas market, after opening a second, 90-square-metre store in the Tokyo district of Marunouchi on November 24.

Slowear Venezia operates 29 stores in the world's shopping capitals, including Milan, New York, Seoul and London. For this new opening, it collaborated with Visual Display, an Italian design agency specialised in branding and interior design.

The new store features a colour palette in which grey, blue and maroon predominate, and is characterised by a multi-functional counter, which acts also as bar, DJ console and radio studio, by a generous, 1950s-style set of bookshelves and a lounge, a signature element in Slowear Venezia stores.

Besides the Slowear Venezia apparel collections, the store showcases products selected by Slowear in partnership with other Italian brands. Among them, a capsule collection of men’s bags created in collaboration with Felisi, the new men’s organic cosmetics line Oway, launched in parallel with the second Tokyo store’s opening, and wines by Veneto producer Foss Marai, available at all Slowear Venezia stores worldwide.

The Slowear group was founded in Mira, near Venice, in 1951, and owns the Incotex, Zanone, Montedoro, Officina Slowear and Glanshirt labels. In 2017, the group recorded a revenue of €50 million, of which 30% was generated in Italy and the rest overseas, with Japan, Europe and the USA the leading markets.
