Indochino Hires CTO Alex Buhler and VP Finance Vanessa Pillay - Indochino

The new hires come just a couple of weeks after announcing the company’s first launch outside of North America, bringing its online operations to Australia. The pair are expected to play a significant role in Indochino's continued development as a global apparel brand.

"Building a world-class team is essential as we continue to disrupt the men's apparel category. We are excited to welcome these incredibly talented leaders, Alex and Vanessa, into two critical business functions," said Drew Green, President and CEO of Indochino, in a news statement.

"Their knowledge and expertise will help ensure we have an unrivalled framework in place for long-term sustained and profitable global growth."

As CTO, Buhler will be responsible for expanding the Vancouver-based menswear company’s omni-channel infrastructure. He has over 20 years' experience supporting high growth, data-driven companies including Clearly, part of the Essilor Group, and Mountain Equipment Co-op where he equally held the position of CTO.

Likewise, Pillay has over 15 years' experience in the financial and technology sectors, most recently leading the finance team at Microsoft South Africa. In her role as VP Finance, she will lead the finance team and help optimize the financial profile of the business.

Indochino has been on a strong growth trajectory, most recently announcing the opening of three new showrooms in the tri-state area. To-date, the company has opened 45 showrooms in the U.S. and Canada, with up to 15 more planned for 2019.

In addition to expanding its retail presence, Indochino has also been growing its product offering with the launch of business-casual pants and overcoats in October and most recently, new casual button-up shirts.
