Launched by the Turkish denim producer ISKO, part of the Sanko Group, the ISKO I-SKOOL competition, which awards two prizes – the Denim Design Award and the Marketing Awards – has just announced the twenty finalists in the design category of its fifth edition.

The 20 new talents, educated at a variety of prestigious design, art and fashion schools (the Helsinki School of Arts, ESMOD, the Istituto Marangoni, the Parsons School of Design in New York, Florence's Polimoda, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and the Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, to name but a few) competed with creations designed around the theme of "Undocumented", each proposing a different vision of the denim of the future.

Having been selected among the 200 candidates, the 20 finalists have been able to refine and develop their projects during a first phase of workshops held as part of a Denim in Italy seminar (which took place on March 19 and 20) at ISKO's Creative Room. This important step is designed to help the designers transform their ideas into an actual collection.

The next event on ISKO's competition calendar is the upcoming announcement of the Marketing Award finalists, before the final awards ceremony takes place in Milan, in July.

New partners have also been announced for this fifth edition of ISKO I-SKOOL, with brands such as Lenzing, Reca Group, Lectra and C-Tic lining up alongside 7 For All Mankind, G-Star Raw, Jeanerica, Replay and Roy Rogers.
