Hugo Boss has introduced the post of head of innovation - Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss has introduced the new role to bring together within one office all the areas relating to innovation, according to the group based in Metzingen, southern Germany.

Kuhn previously worked at Mercedes-Benz, where he held a number of executive positions over the course of more than 11 years. His latest post was business & digital transformation leader.

“Innovation is my passion and part of my DNA. This is one of the most exciting times for innovation in the fashion industry, where Hugo Boss is leveraging its full potential and taking a central role in shaping the industry’s future,” wrote Kuhn on his LinkedIn profile.

Everything is going well for Hugo Boss at the moment. Despite the current economic and geopolitical uncertainty, the group is predicting a record-breaking year, and plans to top the €3 billion revenue mark in 2022. Hugo Boss’s revenue should increase by between 10% and 15% to set a new record, for a value ranging from €3.1 billion to €3.2 billion.

In 2022, Hugo Boss is also keen to invest in digitalising its commercial activities and in optimising and upgrading its monobrand store network all over the world. The group has pledged it will deploy its new retail concept in over 100 stores this year, while continuing to extend the reach of its e-tail activity worldwide.

Hugo Boss's wholly revamped e-shop is the cornerstone of the group’s omni-channel strategy. In 2021, the share of sales generated online by the group reached 20% for the first time. A crucial step for Hugo Boss, which is planning to generate between 25% and 30% of its revenue online by 2025.
